Mar 4, 2005 路 Posted March 5, 2005. Nearly everybody who owns a Lexus in the UK sticks to the 9,000 mile (pre 1999) or 10,000 mile (1999 +) oil change intervals. Jun 4, 2004 路 Mine is a 2001 RX 300 AWD Automatic Transmission. Please correct me if I am wrong. 1. Front differential uses GL-5 80W90 gear oil. 2. Rear differential uses GL-5 80W90 gear oil. 3. Transfer case also uses GL-5 80W90 gear oil. I cannot find the Filled Plug for the Transfer Case. Is it filled together with the Front Differential or separate?

Best way to put a plug in an aluminum head down a deep hole is to use a piece of vacuum hose about a foot long (helps keep from dropping it) , lube the plug threads lightly with anti-seize and thread it in by hand til you KNOW that it is down a few threads.
Oct 9, 2008 路 I have a 2003 Lexus GS300 sport edition and I have been having one problem after another. My drive belt is making a loud squeeling noise. I have checked the belt tensioner and it seems ok. I usually go to work early and seems like the noise would start in the mornings when there is dew on the car but now the noise starts at any time.
Feb 12, 2004 路 Year: 2009. Location: Texas (TX) Posted February 13, 2004. At about 65,000, the driver's side strut on my 1999 RX300 was leaking oil -- a goner - and there were noises when going over bumps. I replaced the strut and the suspension support at the top, and it rides and sounds fine now.
